Revenue goals need operating inputs
Translate a target into leads, conversion rate, average order value, and capacity. Work on the input with the largest credible upside.

A revenue target is not a plan. It is an outcome of four numbers, and until you write those numbers down you cannot tell whether the target is ambitious or fantasy. Any digital marketing agency Canada client setting a growth goal for the year should start here, long before deciding which channel to invest in.
Break the target apart
Leads, conversion rate to customer, average order value, and delivery capacity. Multiply your current numbers and see where they land against the goal. The gap now has a shape, and usually one input is clearly the weak link, rather than every part of the business needing attention at once.
Choose the credible input
Doubling leads is often the hardest and most expensive route. Improving conversion from twelve to sixteen percent, or lifting average order value with a better package, can be quicker and cheaper. Pick the change you can plausibly make this quarter, rather than the one that sounds most impressive in a plan.
Check capacity before demand
There is no point generating more enquiries than you can serve well. If capacity is the constraint, marketing spend should wait until delivery can absorb the work, otherwise you buy poor reviews at a premium. This is a point worth raising before spending more on online advertising Canada campaigns.
Revisit the numbers regularly
The weak link in the four inputs rarely stays fixed for an entire year. A business that improves conversion this quarter may find leads become the limiting input next quarter, which might point back toward Google SEO services, Meta Ads management, or a stronger content marketing strategy depending on where the business actually gets its attention. Treat this as a number you revisit, not a diagnosis you make once and forget.
