Slow websites lose enquiries quietly
Page speed rarely shows up as a complaint. It shows up as fewer forms from the same traffic.

Nobody emails to say your site was slow. They leave, and the loss looks like a bad month of advertising instead of a technical problem.
Measure on a phone, on mobile data
Desktop office wifi hides the problem. Test on a mid range phone away from the office and time how long it takes before the headline and the button are usable.
Fix the heavy things first
Oversized images, autoplaying video, and a stack of third party scripts cause most of the delay. Compressing images and removing unused tracking tags usually recovers more than a redesign.
Protect the landing pages
Pages that receive paid traffic deserve the strictest budget for weight. Every extra second there is paid for twice, once in clicks and once in lost enquiries.
